The Boat House was built in 1989

Four boat slip, museum quality boat display, with longest slip at 34 feet, and a special canoe launching dock with electric overhead door.  Each slip has an electric, remote controlled door.  Elegantly finished, including carpeted floors. Heated in the winter and humidity reduction in the summer with an exhaust air system.

Water dams for each slip protect from freezing during the winter months from water and ice, and insulated blankets over each slip further helps to insulate the boat house for winter and permits heating of the boat slips.

This secluded property is only 10 minutes away from Adirondack Regional Airport. This airport features commercial service and long runways for private jets.

This unique Adirondack Park real estate waterfront property  has spectacular views of St. Regis mountain. Upper Saint Regis Lake is spring fed and serves as the head waters for the St. Regis river. This secluded lake is home to many Adirondack Great Camps which are notable for their unique rustic architecture. Most of these camps date back to the turn of the century. Many books have been written about the camps on St. Regis lake, including  Camp Topridge, an Adirondack Great Camp built in 1923 by Marjorie Merriweather Post. This lake is a haven for authentic wooden boats of all types. Upper Saint Regis Lake is also home to the fleet of Idem wooden sailboats. These beautiful sailboats have been racing the lake twice a week during August for over 100 years with the original boats. Twice a week during August the lake is filled with beautiful antique wooden sailboats that circle the lake twice in their quest for racing victory. 

Building #2  "Main House"

Year round heated and air conditioned Recently renovated in Adirondack style (Cedar and Birch bark) Parthenon exterior design, 100+ year old original camp building. 

Double doors of Dining room open to an outdoor gas fireplace, which also can be viewed during dining. All living areas are heated and air-conditioned

First Floor: Newly remodeled large commercial kitchen, with stainless steel appliances, wet bar, tiled floors and granite countertops

Large Dining Room, 17’ x 17’ with birch bark walls trimmed with twig work and a moose antler chandelier, hardwood floors. Accommodates table for 16 plus an overflow table for 8.  Adjoining granite outdoor patio for outside dining.  This area has a built-in outdoor fireplace with gas.  Fireplace can be viewed through double doors from the Dining area.  The dining room is a work of art created by Steven Rand.  Larger groups of diners can be accommodated in the second floor great room of the boathouse.

Living room with stone fireplace, beamed ceilings with cedar logs with bark, carried down through the walls.  Newly renovated with Cedar Beams, Rear projection TV with High Definition Dish Network.  The original warmth and coziness was retained in this large living room.

The lake is a popular canoeing area and you can paddle and portage back through 7 pristine uninhabited lakes. Canoeing the 7 lakes and climbing St Regis mountain are annual events for many visitors to the camp.
These large properties are still referred to as "Great Camps" because of their origins over 100 years ago . They started out as tent encampments for summer fishing and fall hunting. Later pads were laid for the tents and soon they became outbuilding for cooking, sleeping, bathing, etc. Then came the building of log homes and the camps grew into the beautiful natural Great Camps that circle the lake today. The camps are furnished with the rustic furniture that was often crafted by the caretakers during the winter months.

Building # 3 "The Guide House"

Year round heated and air conditioned.

The Guide House serves as a guesthouse, which sleeps 11.  It is a two-story building, which can be divided for two separate groups of guests.

Building # 4 “Highland House”

This guesthouse is a two-story home with upstairs living room, dining area, bedrooms, and two baths, and separate downstairs guest apartment.  Sleeps 9.  Four-car garage and work shop.  Has own generator.  This house has its own driveway to highway and entrance for privacy.  Great woodland views of game trails and forest.  Fireplace and wood stoves.  Heated and Bedroom and Living room Air-conditioned.
This house has vaulted ceilings and spectacular forest views from its 2nd floor picture windows.

Building # 5 "The Donaldson House"

Year round heat and air conditioned.

This is a fully equipped one-bedroom guest apartment, which sleeps two, over a two-car garage.  It has a full kitchen, living room and bath.  This property has views of nature trails and open view of forest on two sides and lake on the west side and would make a great building site for an additional guest cottage. This cottage has amazing lake and forest views overlooking the nature walkway.

Building #6 "The Canoe House"

This building was renovated in 1989 as an Adirondack Style cedar log sided boat house/canoe house with large canoe launching ramp and two electric, remote controlled overhead doors. This canoe house serves as the working storage and launching facility for guide boats, canoes and sailboats. Its also a great place to sit in an Adirondack chair and watch the sun go down.

Other buildings:

*  Authentic "Trappers Cabin" this is a one-room cabin with a cook wood stove used primarily for entertaining in the old Adirondack style.  Cookouts and early morning fall breakfasts and after dinner desserts served here are fun in this cabin. 

*  Authentic "Lakota Indian Teepee", fully furnished and used for entertaining evenings around the campfire or camping quarters for the overflow of guests

*  Oversized authentic "Adirondack Lean To: also great for entertaining around the campfire or camping quarters for the overflow of guests.  Tall enough to use as a set down dining room for romantic dinners.

*  Separate 2 car central garage and workshop.

*  Safe House/Generator Building, which houses the nerve center for utilities. It converts 440 volt to 220 volt.  Cummins 3208 Diesel 120 KW. Generator.  With back up long-term fuel oil supply.  On automatic switch over to permit continuous electrical supply when experiencing an electrical outage from the National Grid.  This building also contains the well controls and water supply storage tanks. With dual deep water for redundancy.  The building is built a safe house as it is poured concrete floor, ceiling and all walls and is heated in the winter.

3 Propane Tanks with total 3000-gallon capacity.

Security system in “The Boat House” controlled by Comsec Security Services, including fire, theft and low temperature warnings.

Water supply is a deep drilled well with 2 redundantly auto switchover pumps and warning in event one fails.

Fire Hydrant fed from all weather under ground pipes and water supply from the lake even when lake is frozen.

Electric bubblers installed along the shoreline in the winter to keep ice from damaging docks and boathouses.  

Large capacity environmentally friendly designed sewage system to accommodate existing buildings as well as several future new buildings.

Under ground distribution of electricity, water, telephone lines, propane lines, etc. for some of the houses so there are no unsightly utility lines

Two way high speed Internet Satellite, extremely fast, third generation recent technology. With download speeds up to 1.5MBS.

The Boathouse, Main house and Guide house share a phone system with multiple lines, paging and intercom. Single side band two way long range radio with long range antenna.

 The property is located on state highway 30 and has weekday courier service from UPS, FedEx, and others.

The "Landing" is run by the St Regis Property Owners Association. It offers gasoline for boats and dockage for residents without road access to their camps.
